Since its establishment 35 years ago, Nirvana Asia Group has consistently extended help in times of crisis, including donating more than RM10 million for relief and reconstruction following Nepal’s 2015 7.8 magnitude earthquake; contributing RM8 million worth in medical equipment, supplies, food provisions, and face masks to help the country battle the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020; and donating RM500,000 to aid in the flood relief efforts in Sarawak last year.

In today’s digital age, the public should not passively accept new technologies, but instead actively explore and leverage them to break new ground. Nirvana emphasizes that technology is not meant to replace traditional rituals, but rather to enhance and preserve them — using innovation to carry forward cultural heritage and human connection.

In 2019, Kong and his family got to know of Sang Riang Senior Citizen’s Home and were deeply moved by Yap’s devotion to charity. Committed to the principle of “giving back to society,” Kong and his family have contributed a significant amount in terms of financial assistance to the charity organisation, including RM620,000 to complete the home’s prayer hall, RM2 million for the construction of the cancer natural therapy centre, RM500,000 in utility bill subsidies during the pandemic, and RM50,000 per month for the home’s ongoing utility expenses.

“Traditionally hand-drawn through calligraphy, these couplets hold emotional warmth and a personal touch that printed versions cannot replicate. I hope that events like this ensure the enduring appeal of this tradition, preventing it from fading away like the exchange of New Year greeting cards.”

Nirvana Asia Group recently hosted a family-oriented Mid-Autumn Festival celebration with the theme, “A Cosmic Mid-Autumn Lunar Adventure”, simultaneously setting a new record in The Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) for the largest Mid-Autumn Festival held in a memorial park.

The first class of the “KAIGO Professional Elderly Caregiving Training”, The course focuses on the Japanese approach at elderly care, with the hope that the elderly can be treated with dignity in their golden years.
