KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 – In a groundbreaking move to deepen the warmth of love and remembrance, Nirvana Asia Group, Asia’s largest integrated bereavement care provider, officially launched Malaysia’s first-ever AI-enhanced farewell ceremony, called “EternA.I.”, at Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur.

The exclusive launch event gathered around 150 invited guests, including senior executives of Nirvana Asia Group, Chief Business Development Directors, and Business Development Directors, representatives from technology partner AISpaceX, and media representatives — all present to witness this historic moment.

35th Anniversary Milestone – Passing on Love Through Technology

Since its founding in 1990, Nirvana Asia Group has remained committed to its mission of passing on love, guided by the core values of “people-first and customer-centricity”, while continually crafting heartfelt and meaningful bereavement services.

As the company celebrates its 35th anniversary, it embarks on a new chapter, embracing the future with the same passion as it did since it was first established. With the fusion of technology and humanity, Nirvana Asia introduces “EternA.I.”, an AI farewell experience built upon the theme of love. Notably, the term “AI” (Artificial Intelligence) is also a homophone for “爱” (love) in Chinese — a poetic reminder that through AI, love is given deeper emotional resonance.

This groundbreaking innovation not only showcases the power of technology, but also reflects the company’s reverence for life and commitment preserving the timelessness of love. It allows love to transcend the boundaries of partings, and allowing final goodbyes to be expressed in deeply personal, meaningful ways.

First AI-Enhanced Farewell Ceremony Debuts – A Touching Tribute Enhanced by Technology

At the event, Nirvana premiered its first AI farewell video, developed in collaboration with AISpaceX, a prominent Malaysian AI technology firm. The video showcased how AI can transcend the boundaries of time and space, enabling a more complete and heartfelt farewell.
The subject of the video was the late father of Datin Lee Jye Chyi, Marketing & Sales CEO of Nirvana Memorial Park (Malaysia Central Region), who passed away this January. Through AI, his voice and likeness were digitally re-created, allowing him to deliver a final, heartfelt message to his family in a familiar tone.

The moving scene brought many attendees to tears, capturing how AI can fill the emotional gap left by sudden loss — conveying love that was never spoken, transforming grief into comfort, and helping families move forward in life with the wisdom and good intentions of the departed.

At the Core of AI: Not Just Technology, but Emotional Warmth

The true value of the AI farewell lies not in the technology itself, but in the emotional resonance it brings. While many may see AI as cold or impersonal, Nirvana believes that technology can be used to preserve and emphasise love.

In today’s digital age, the public should not passively accept new technologies, but instead actively explore and leverage them to break new ground. Nirvana emphasizes that technology is not meant to replace traditional rituals, but rather to enhance and preserve them — using innovation to carry forward cultural heritage and human connection.

A Visionary Partnership with AISpaceX: Shaping the Future of Bereavement Care

Nirvana recognizes that integrating technology into the funeral industry is no small task — but it is a responsibility the Group is proud to undertake. The launch of the AI farewell is only the first step in a broader journey.
Together with AISpaceX, Nirvana will continue to explore more technological possibilities to create greater value for agents, clients, and visitors across its memorial parks.

Upcoming AI innovations include:

  • AI Brand Ambassador (Digital Human):
Nirvana’s exclusive digital figure who shares bereavement knowledge and promotes Chinese cultural heritage.
  • AI Assistant:
Records important dates and preferences of clients’ ancestors and provides timely reminders to agents for more personalized follow-up and service.
  • AI Mobile Application:
Integrate the system to recommend suitable services and products based on the customer’s religion, culture and preferences, so that customers can easily make a booking for the “Memorial Dedication” proxy representative worship service or order joss paper products.
  • AI Memory Keeper:
Collects stories, life mottos, and memorable moments from the client, forming a digital legacy to pass down to future generations.
  • AI Ritual Robot:
A smart, interactive assistant stationed at memorial parks to guide visitors through rituals — from reciting sutras and lighting incense to navigating the grounds.

AISpaceX is a forward-thinking Malaysian AI technology company specializing in digital humans, speech synthesis, and intelligent interaction. With a presence across China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Dubai, and Europe, it serves industries including banking, real estate, and technology.

Beyond its technological prowess, Nirvana Asia Group resonates deeply with AISpaceX’s vision of using AI to empower emotional connection and enrich society. United by a shared purpose, both companies are working hand in hand to transform how technology can support love, remembrance, and cultural continuity.
